Ending Sexual Exploitation Workshop in Coast Region
In September 2009 VSO Jitolee Volunteers in Coast Region organised a very successful global education workshop to address the issue of sexual exploitation. “Sex tourism” is a major problem in Kenya’s coast province contributing to the exploitation of children and the spread of HIV/AIDs.
The aims of the workshop were to educate participants about the issue and develop key messages and activities for a campaign against the commercial exploitation of children and for responsible tourism.
